Words from the Founder

I wish to thank 900 Global, LLC and the rest of the companies in bowling, which gave me a job so that I could gain technical knowledge about bowling. This club is the result of 30 years of taking notes on small pads, while participating in bowling. At the same time, I was fortunate enough to have jobs where I was allowed to design test equipment and conduct tests to study the parameters which affect bowling.

I wish to thank AMF for giving me my first job in bowling, which gave me the opportunity to design a synthetic lane, a ball return, and work on the first urethane ball, the Black Angle.

I am also grateful to the ABC and WIBC, who put me in charge of setting, maintaining, and interpreting the technical specifications for bowling for 10 years. This job gave me a great opportunity to study bowling from a technical point of view. With the use of their specially designed test equipment, much of the technical data in this club was gathered to support many of the conclusions.

While I was at the ABC and WIBC, I was fortunate to team with Dave Sprager, Larry Vezina and Mike Donavan to design the C.A.T.S® (Computer Aided Tracking System), which is a great piece of equipment specifically designed to analyze a bowler’s game. We also teamed together to conduct the C.A.T.S.® bowling clinics to help bowlers improve their game. This was a rewarding experience which gave me my coaching experience.

I would like to thank Columbia Industries for giving me the opportunity to design bowling balls for the industry and study bowling even more. I want to thank them for allowing me to put together this Bowlers’ Club. I want to especially thank Nick Burgett, who assisted in writing the first Ball Path Simulator© software. Without his help, this would have been just another bowling coaching idea, instead of a highly, technically oriented club, which allows the bowlers to use this software to determine exactly how all factors in bowling interact to manipulate the ball path specifically for their own game.

And I wish to thank 900 Global, LLC for allowing me to continue developing product for the bowling industry, and for allowing me to finish the development of the My 300 Club site.

It has been a life long dream to share my knowledge and bowling experience with other bowlers who desire to become the best bowler they can be. I put together this Club to help bowlers understand the technical side of bowling and to assist you to BUILD YOUR GAME.

It’s a great sport. Enjoy it. I have.
