We had three club members win Award balls around the same time. Jim Beard shot a 300 game on 4/15/10 in his Thursday Men’s Commercial League at Classic Lanes in Sulphur Springs, Texas. Dale Rockwell shot 278-267-255 for an 800 series on 4/13/10 in his Tuesday Night Scratch League at Park Center Lanes in Wyoming, Michigan. Plus, Josef Hilgendorf shot 289-257-255 for an 801 series on 4/24/10 in his Wednesday Masters League at King Pin and Ale House in West Bend, Alabama.

Nice bowling, guys!! All will be winning the Award ball of their choice.

Edward Plesnicar did it again! He was the most recent club member to win an Award ball for bowling an 812 series. He also bowled games of 268-287-255 for a very nice 810 series. This was bowled at Sonny Lanes in the Tuesday Night Business Men’s league. He used an Encrpytion Code ball.

Interestingly, he had his ball drilled by Steve Brinkley from Marble Falls, Texas. Steve won the 2nd ever Award Ball back in 2008. He also drilled the ball for John Foltz from Wisconsin who won the 1st ever Award Ball back in 2008.

It seems that Steve Brinkley knows something about drilling balls that shoot honor scores and win Award balls for My 300 Club members. Ed will not be receiving another Award ball because a member can only win one ball per year, but this is still very nice bowling.

We would like to congratulate club member Edward Plesnicar, on bowling a nice 812 series. He shot his score in the Mentor RV Industrial Men’s League in Scores Fun Center in Painesville, Ohio. Ed had games of 267-279-266.  For his accomplishment, he will be receiving an Award ball from My 300 Club.

Congratulations, Ed!

Also, Todd Pallas, from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, shot 222-279-300 for a nice 801 series.

Both bowlers will be receiving their personally engraved balls with their name, date and bowling accomplish from My 300 Club.

He has selected a Break Point Pearl ball for his award ball. We would like to congratulate Bradley Porter for being the first club member to win an Award Ball for bowling 100 pins over his average. Bradley averages 172 and bowled a very nice 279 game in his league at Rose Bowl Lanes in Marshfield, Wisconsin. For this score, he won this Award Ball, which is personally engraved with his bowling achievement.

Any club member can win a new reactive Award ball or 900 Global ball for bowling 100 pins over their average or a 300 game or a 800 series. Become a member and have a change to have your name engraved on your own ball.

Nice Bowling, Bradley.

The 2009 league season is beginning shortly, and we are adding more options for this bowling season. My 300 Club has added 900 Global balls to the selection of balls that members can win for shooting 300, 800 or 100 pins over your average. The special Award Ball, which is engraved with the bowler’s award information, is still available. Or now, a club member can select a 900 Global bowling ball instead of the Award Ball. The Club member will determine which ball they will win for their bowling accomplishments on the Award Score Verification form.

Have you been practicing? Are you ready for the new league season? Here are a few tips:

  • Keep your bowling arm in line with the direction of the ball path at all times. If your arm is going in the direction of the ball path, the ball will follow.
  • On the follow through - Reach out and not up. Reach out for your target.
  • These two tips will help improve your accuracy.
